I enjoyed cycling about 15Km as daily training after coming home.
My Mobile Phone was ringing at the end of my cycling couse.
It was from my wife went to Osaka.
At the same time the finish talk my wife, my friend who is old American called.
So I talked to her in English.
After the talk, some one talk to me strange Japanese.
That was Hayden Atkins 21-year-old.
He is from Hawaii, is now traveling around Japan on a bicycle.
Tomorrow, he has said he will go to Murakami 60Km from hear.
Today, He has to sleep outside in the tent.
I took his picture with my RICOH GX200(Digtal camera).
I said “I’ll upload these pictures to my blog site”.
He said “Your English is good”.
I said “And you are a good lier”.
I wrote URL and my email address to him.
43 years ago, I was the same age and youth,
I was traveling around Japan on a bicycle, spend almost one year.
He said Crazy. May be.
I camped out well. I was young like him.
He asked “It’s safe?”
Of cause Safe!
Travel on a bicycle meens lonly and hard.
But When it cames from old age,You’ll find that was turning point to be big.
I said “Bye” and go back to my apartment.
Tomorrow,I must go to hospital to checkup my health as monthly events.
Just maybe, he might have been looking for a place to stay.
I was worried about that.
So I went to the place I said “Bye!” again 20 minits later.
If he was there, I gave him my guest room.
If not, he should get the chance of another.
The Either option must be OK for young man.
He was not there.
会社帰宅後いつものようにサイクリングを15Kmほどでかけました。
サイクリングの終盤に携帯で大阪に急遽出かけた妻と話していました。
そのご、知り合いの米国人と英語で話しました。
話が終ると、変な日本語で話しかけられました。
それが、Hayden Atkinsという21歳の若者でした。
ハワイ出身、自転車で日本を回っているのだという。
明日は村上に泊まるという。
今日は野宿だという。

ブログに写真をあげておくと伝えました。
英語が上手いと彼は言いました。嘘も上手い若者だ。

43年前、私も、この若者と同じ年齢の頃、
私も自転車で日本一周をしていました。
その頃、野宿もよくしました。
彼はこの辺は安全かと聞いてきました。
安心だし、さびしいけれど、それが自転車の旅だ。
別れを告げてマンションに帰えりました。
明日は定期健診だ。
もしかしたら、彼は泊まる場所を探していたのかもしれない。
彼と別れた場所にもう一度出かけました。
もし、彼がそこにいたら、とめてやろうと思いました。
いなければ、彼は別の運をつかんでいると思います。
それが縁ですね。
彼は、そこにいませんでした。
