ExChange method of LetsNoteCF-T1 Original Hdd to 80G HDD(2003/09/17)
The upgrade version of WINDOWS2000 is installed from the model which does not build in an optical drive. Moreover, a part of HDD is converted for CF-T1.

(1) I can only use Notebook-type personal computer such as A battery long time useable and the weight itself must be lightly. Therefore I bought LetsNoteCF-S22 and Thinkpadi1124 and I have no idea about Notobook PC built in the optical drive (CD-ROM/DVD ) also FDD.
Ofcause there was same reason in the LetsNoteCF-T1 I bought.
As you know.Microsoft Windows developed windows1.0 windows2.0 windows3.0 windows 3.1.At last Windows95 included as standard INTERNET system. Now it is running as WindowsMe,Windows98,Windows2000,WindowsXP as Pasonal computer.
Pasonaly,I don't like WindowsXP.Mostly I like Linux but I use Windows2000 on NoteBook PC.I decided to change WindowsXP to Windows2000 when I exchange HDD. My Windows history covers Windows from the time of DOS. It is there. So I will use Upgrade package of the Windows2000. Probably, there are many people who are going to install Windows2000, XP, and 2003 with the upgrade version. I think that it is comparatively difficult to install the upgrade version of these new OS's in an New HDD at the time of Exchange in the notebook PC except the optical drive.

Important This occasion ,It is nessesary for the peaple who has a desktop machine also , and has the knowledge of the hardware experience and change of BIOS, And even if it fails and succeeds, only people with the preparedness which becomes t e outside of the object of a maker guarantee think that they fulfill the conditions which can be performed about this 換装. moreover, please blame me just because you do not work, since I do reconstruction also to the hard disk of IBM (Hitachi), or stop absolutely those who pass the buck [ around ] -- ね All become accountability.

Plan First Windows 98 install to the New HDD and Win2000 upgrade-install after.
Seemed easy just run upgrade CD-ROM of Windows2000.
But this method is imposible for the note PC which does not contain CD-ROM. drive.
Method
My case ,I set 2.5inch HDD at Primary master of IDE with Conversion adapter(show picture / almost 5$) to my mother ship.
Set CD-ROM at a slave IDE and remove the other SCSI etc. cable or extracts from the power supply.
Check 2.5 inch HDD is recognized by BIOS ,then change Boot to the CD-ROM int BIOS.
Now, in my case, Windows 98SE was started from CD-ROM, and installed Windows98SE in 2.5 inches HDD as the minimum. Of course, all domains were formatted with the file system in FAT32 (picture (2)).
If you install UPGRADE Windows200 in this stage, it will not run in CF-T1.
Then , create new folder to the C Drive (my case, folder name was "Win2k" ) . Copy and all the contents of CD-ROM of Windows2000 to the folder. Now,the Working is over on the Mother ship. So put off 2.5 inch HDD from Mother ship(Desktop machine). Yet, please wait and do not attach in CF-T1 in this stage.
Now , it's a time to remodel the HDD, a little. Since it is not so difficult reconstruction, please do after reading follow sentences.
You have to change IBM(Hitachi) IC25N080 ATMR04 (80G) to useable CF-T1. CF-T1's HDD must be worked 3.3V. So,may be very special one. In the case of this HDD of IBM, No. 44 pin is a reserve pin and No. 41 pin is setting logical 5V. Therefore, if 41 and 44 pins are cut ( Figure 3 and 4 ), then internal operation is set to 3.3V.The pin of No. 41 and No. 44 will be bent and removed. Now ,the HDD can be performed (may be) other models, at this time. Please set 80G-HDD to CF-T1.CF-T1's BIOS recognizes HDD as 80G ,now!
